Our Team

Maxim is an Associate Solicitor in the dispute resolution team at Saracens, assisting on a range of civil and commercial disputes. He is over two years qualified with a very broad range of litigation experience in a number of different areas, including:

  • Contentious probate claims;
  • Debt recovery matters including claims of circa £900,000;
  • Partnership and company disputes concerning failure to account to parties for their beneficial entitlement / breach of directors duties;
  • Landlord and tenant disputes, including possession / rent arrears claims, housing disrepair claims, breaches of lease claims;
  • Commercial property disputes, including lease renewal disputes and negotiating terms of commercial lease;
  • Complex contractual disputes, including undue influence, limitations of disclaimer clauses and enforceability of terms;
  • Unjust enrichment; and
  • Employment settlements

Maxim completed his philosophy degree in 2018, gaining a 1st. He also completed his GDL in 2020, gaining a Distinction, and completed his LPC part-time alongside his Training Contract in 2023, gaining a Distinction.

Maxim is known to be personable and hard-working, with a high attention to detail. His work ethic was evident in some of the notable cases he has assisted on, including:

  • Securing a settlement deal from a complex partnership dispute involving analysis of the Partnership Act, analysis of partnership accounts and legislation and caselaw concerning partnership dissolution.
  • Contentious probate successfully securing settlement to prevent other side from forcing the sale of a family home via recourse to TOLATA.
  • Succeeding in numerous possession based claims / rental arrears and can guide through the whole process including enforcement.
  • Succeeding in a variety of claims for breach of contract on express and implied contractual terms.

Maxim completed a Philosophy degree at the University of Warwick, and his enjoyment of the rigorous approach to problem-solving along with the study of ethical principles, motivated him to pursue a career in law. He completed his Training Contract at Bark & Co Solicitors Limited, and was based exclusively in the civil litigation team, where he dealt with a range of disputes in the field of civil fraud, defamation and property.

In his spare time, Maxim enjoys playing piano and long-distance running. He has also said that he is “regrettably, a long-suffering fan of Manchester United”.
