Our conveyancing price includes everything you need to complete your house sale aside from any extra fees charged by third parties which we discuss below. This includes taking care of the payment of stamp duty or land transaction tax. The price varies depending on:
- the value of the property that you want to buy
- whether the property is leasehold or freehold
- whether you are the buyer, the seller or looking to re-mortgage.
Call us to start the process as soon as an offer is finalised. We can put you in touch with a surveyor or you can find your own through the Royal Charted Institute of Surveyors. We will begin to put together your paperwork and let you know what extra information we need. During a house sale, there are various checks and searches that need to be carried out. These include a land search, local authority search and other checks based on the location and details of your property. All of these occur additional fees ranging from £2-£150. You can get more details on this from our conveyancing team. We may also obtain official copies of the various paperwork related to the house such as the plan or registry entry. These incur minimal fees. Finally, a bank transfer fee of £20 applies to any transaction that we undertake on your behalf.
