Kamal has previously worked as a consultant with a Regional firm at their offices in the City of London. Prior to qualifying, Kamal was employed as a paralegal and has worked within legal services since 2002. He specialises in UK immigration law (private and business immigration matters) with over 18 years of experience in the field. He joined the Saracens team in January 2020.
Kamal is a Consultant Solicitor specialising in UK immigration law. Kamal is also employed as a Supervising Solicitor with the University of Law Legal Advice Centre and runs Clinical Legal Education programmes for Bar LLM students, and litigation programmes for trainee solicitors from various magic circle firms, providing pro bono advice. He has also taught at the University of Law as a Visiting Lecturer in Judicial Review at the BPTC and Immigration Law at LPC.
Kamal has obtained two Law Society Accreditations in Immigration and Asylum Law (Level 2) and was recognised and listed in the Sunday Times newspaper among the top 175 highly rated solicitors based on client reviews on Vouchedfor.co.uk. Kamal is currently serving as a Trustee of APASEN international – a UK registered disability-based charity offering services in Bangladesh and previously sat as a co-opted member of the Management Committee of APASEN helping disabled adults in the UK. He is a member of the Immigration Law Practitioners Association (LPA). He is a hugely passionate campaigner for the rights of migrants, disabled and vulnerable adults and previously stood as a candidate for local elections in Tower Hamlets in 2010. Kamal has profusely stated that his work as a lawyer is not simply a ‘job’ but a labour of love. He works closely with his clients and handles them with care and a great deal of empathy.
In his spare time, Kamal likes to play table tennis, work out in the gym, go for long walks and reading books. He also enjoys socialising, networking and the company of his family and friends.
