Immigration Solicitor in London

If you need an immigration solicitor in London who can help you with your application for asylum, Saracens Solicitors is here for you.

We understand that seeking asylum is an emotional and difficult process for many people and we want to help you get the result you want. Our specialist team of lawyers will be sympathetic to your situation and treat the matter with the sensitivity and urgency it deserves when you choose Saracens Solicitors as your immigration solicitor in London.

Eligibility for asylum

Being eligible to apply for asylum is based on the circumstances in your home country. If you have already left and fear persecution if you return, this is the basis of your case for asylum.

Your fear of persecution might be based on your race, religion, political opinion or anything else that puts you at risk such as your gender or sexuality. You must demonstrate that you are unable to seek refuge in any part of your home country. If you are eligible to seek asylum in another EU country for any reason, this can affect your claim. Your partner and any children under the age of 18 can be treated as dependents on your application.

All of this gives you a brief overview of eligibility for asylum but the details are usually more complex, which is why you may find yourself in need of an immigration solicitor. In London, at Saracens Solicitors, we will take the details of your case in an initial consultation and let you know what we can do to help you from there.

Documentation

If you have not already claimed asylum upon entry to the UK, you will need to book an asylum ‘screening’ with an immigration officer. We can help you with this.

In order to make a claim you need the following documents, if you have them: passports and travel documents, police registration certificates, identification documents, for example identity cards, birth and marriage certificates or school records. If you have a residence in the UK, you need proof of address as well.

Do not worry if you are missing any documentation that you think you should have. We can help you get your paperwork in order and obtain the evidence you need.
